Dubai Autism Center welcomed renowned International boxer Bob Sapp alias "The Beast" and Eisa Al Dah "The Warrior" who spent time meeting the students at the center after a presentation about Autism given by Sara Ahmad Baker – Community Service Unit Head at the center. The boxers 'presence' at the center was immense not just in personality but in stature, this didn't put the children off and they weren't frightened, in fact they enjoyed playful banter with both huge boxers and at 1 point playing games on one of the visitors i-phone. Music with Meaning 2012 in Aid of Dubai Autism Center
Talented students from Melody Makers Music & Fine Arts Center are planning to conduct a variety entertainment event - funds raised will go to the Dubai Autism Center.
During the 4 hour show children as young as 5 years to teenagers will demonstrate their learning and talent in music, singing, dance and drama in front of a large audience including some well known dignitaries. The event is open to the public… Do not miss the show…

Cristiano Ronaldo Visit Dubai Autism Center
The Real Madrid footballer made time to pay a personal visit to Dubai Autism Center to show his support for children diagnosed with Autism. His eager fans from the center’s students, their parents and siblings came especially to meet him as they are on their winter break.
Mr. Emadi, Dubai Autism Center Director General, along with board members greeted Ronaldo on arrival in appreciation said: “I would like to thank all those supporting the mission of the center in integrating children diagnosed with Autism in in the society and spreading awareness about this disorder. We highly appreciate Ronaldo taking the time, in spite of his busy schedule, to visit the center and meet the students, take pictures with them and sign their T- shirts and other memorable they brought with them for him to sign.
Before leaving Ronaldo signed the VIP book and was presented with the center’s 10th anniversary shield and a special book summarizing the center's achievements.
Dubai Autism Centre hosts the international conference: Autism… what’s next?
Dubai – Nov 27th: Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of Dubai Autism Centre, the Dubai Autism Centre, on its 10th anniversary 27 Nov, organized the international scientific conference: Autism… what’s next? The conference would have a benefit for the UAE autism centres, government organizations, directors of special needs centres, and the caregivers of children with autism in the various medical and educational fields; as well as parents and family members.
The conference was a full day event took place on November 27th at the Knowledge Village. It featured international renowned speakers in their respective fields. 'Care By Giving’ - Ramadan Campaign 2011
Date: 1st to 30th of August This year Ramadan campaign “Care By Giving” aims at raising awareness about Autism and solicit contribution towards the cause from the various communities.
The campaign focuses on the increasing numbers of children diagnosed with Autism and the need for early diagnosis and intervention.
The campaign is supported by print media, outdoors, posters. However, to maximize reach and frequency employees of all Enoc, Eppco gas and service stations in Dubai as well as Tasjeel and the support staff at the Union Coop are wearing the specially branded t-shirts.
The campaign would have not been possible without our supporters and partners: Americana (Kuwait food Co), Dubai World Trade Center, Etisalat and Bumga Group whose financial contribution was critical to launch the campaign; the Union Coop, Enoc, Eppco and Apparel Group for utilizing their venues, staff and resources to spread awareness; Khaleej Times, Gulf News, 7days and Sports 360 for providing the advertising space and continuous support of Entourage marketing & events company in providing their expertise in the creative for all marketing collaterals.
Dubai Customs Visit: 30th June
With busy schedules and a few hiccups 30th June finally transpired.
20 enthusiastic volunteers from Dubai Customs were chosen from many who had made the request, to descend on Dubai Autism Center to offer their time to the students.
group spent the morning engaging in art activities and sat in awe of the students who showed them a day in the life of….students at Dubai Autism Center.
Following a presentation on Autism the volunteers treaded with care initially, observed from a slight distance and then BANG without further hesitation they started interacting, painting and drawing with the students and encouraging laughter. For some this was their first experience of meeting children with Autism. After the sessions they handed gifts and promised to be back.

Dubai Festival City ‘Lights it up Blue’ for Autism Awareness Day
On the evenings of 1st & 2nd April 2011, InterContinental and Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City, Al Badia Golf Club, the Festival Centre shopping mall and Festival Office Tower joined prominent buildings across the world — including the Empire State Building in New York City and the CN Tower in Toronto, Canada —who turned their lights blue to raise awareness for autism and to commemorate World Autism Awareness Day on Saturday 2nd April; this global initiative urges the world to ‘Light It Up Blue’ in an awareness bid for autism.
Students of Dubai Autism Center Wins Al Hasawi Award for reciters of the Holy Quran
Dubai – U.A.E: The Holy Quran establishment concluded the third competition of “Mubarak Al Hasawi Award” for Quran reciters in a prize distribution ceremony. Two students from Dubai Autism Center participated, Marwan Saleh Abdul Rahman, won first prize in the third sub category of the humanitarian section while Mohammad Jawhar won second place in the first sub category.

Winners of 3nd Princess Haya Award for Special Education (PHASE) Announced
Dubai, U.A.E – April 18, 2011 – Dubai Autism Center grabbed 4 awards: In the outstanding administration category, Mr. Biju Andrews, was one of the two winners. He won for his administration skills, the introduction of modern, innovative and effective Human Resources and financial policies that resulted in a 50% increase in the center’s productivity. Another winner of 2 for outstanding family award went to Yousef Mohammad Uthman and family, for their extra ordinary efforts to help their child and other families affected by Autism.

MRI Scans May Help Test for Autism
Dec. 2, 2010 -- Researchers may be getting closer to developing a test to diagnose autism spectrum disorder using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans.
