The concept of volunteering includes humanitarian efforts done by members of the community individually and/or collectively. A volunteer is meant to gain a sense of belonging to a community and undertake some responsibilities that contribute to a society’s progress and prosperity.
Volunteer are of high value to our center. You are ambassadors for those with special needs especially those with Autism. We offer you a structured orientation and once we build a mutual consensus, together we build a plan that combines the center’s needs along with your skills.
An Individual may choose to volunteer in any of the following: Direct Student Interaction This avenue provides direct, hands-on interaction with the students supervised by qualified staff and/or interventionist. Involvement in carrying out activites in support of the classroom programme as guided by the classroom teacher and/or interventionist. An opportunity to learn more about autism & its interventions. Fund Raising Department Involves office work such as assisting in database management, facilitating fund raising campaigns, planning and implementation of events. Contribute to initiate sponsorship opportunities. Annual Events Participation in Month of Autism – April Participation in Ramadan Campaign. Conribution in spreading awareness Initiative in the creation of events.

Who can Volunteer at DAC?
We encourage everyone with an interest in Autism and social work to be a part of DAC. Anyone under age 16 will need a consent from parent/teacher
Do I need specific skills to volunteer?
We believe all volunteers have something amazing to contribute. We accommodate all levels of skills but the main skills of a DAC volunteer are compassion and kindness bundled with energy and dedication.
